Exhibition "Blessed Ukraine"
August 24 - September 13 at the State Enterprise National Center of business and cultural cooperation "Ukrainian House" will take place exhibition "Blessed Ukraine", opening 08.24.2015 at 16.00.
At a time when there is war in Ukraine, when the enemy tries not only with weapons, but also with deceitful propaganda to destroy, to tear to pieces our land, our people, our history, such events as exhibition "Blessed Ukraine" are urgently needed to raise the national spirit for improving the nation's identity, and serve as an excellent training material for pupils and students.
This is the first of ten planned exhibitions which aim at the popularization of Ukrainian folk arts and crafts.
The cooperation involved National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine, Kyiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Art and Design of Boychuk, National Feature Film Studio of Oleksandr Dovzhenko, Public Association "El Chyebyer", private collectors Vira Matkovska, Basil Vovkun, Igor Perevertnyuk, Vladimir Schybrya, Bogdan Petrychuk, Eugene Dmitruk, Olesya Telizhenko, Elena Didyk.
In this exhibition will feature examples of Ukrainian folk costumes from all regions of Ukraine, embroidered shirts, carpets and towels.
Much of the exhibition space will be provided exhibiting folk clothes of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
A special exhibition will be presented by the exposition of Crimean Tatar folk art.
Part of the exhibition will be provided for demonstration of modern Ukrainian clothes using chess.
Master classes of embroidery, weaving, paper decorations, under the guidance of renowned Ukrainian craftsmen are also planned.
We hope that the exhibition will attract the attention of the general public.
